Paris sounds different after dark, when trumpets and mellow vocals spill out of basement doors.
Head for Saint-Germain-des-Prés or the Latin Quarter and follow the music. Classic spots like Caveau de la Huchette, Duc des Lombards, or Sunset Sunside pack tiny rooms with serious musicians and devoted regulars. Seats are close, drinks keep coming, and sets run late into the night.
Check who’s playing, reserve a table if you can, then let the band set the pace for the rest of your evening.
